Wipro, Women’s Business Park partner with Salesforce to Host Upskilling Workshop in Saudi Arabia

Wipro Limited (NYSE: WIT, BSE: 507685, NSE: WIPRO), a leading global information technology, consulting and business process services company and Women’s Business Park of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) recently partnered with Salesforce to host a workshop series for women in Saudi Arabia to help them become certified professionals of Salesforce solutions amid burgeoning demand for specialised talent in the country.

The Women's Business Park (WBP), a state-of-the-art Business Center, is the result of a joint venture between Princess Nourah University (PNU), the largest women’s university in the world and Wipro Arabia Ltd. Inaugurated in 2016, it is the first all-women business and technology park in Saudi Arabia and aims to provide knowledge-based employment for women.

A key focus area of the WBP is skill development that will enable Saudi women professionals to become savvier technologists and take advantage of the emerging opportunities. Companies in the Middle East are seeing increased demand for highly skilled employees who can help them leverage customer relationship management (CRM) and related technologies to accelerate digital transformation. This workshop was one of the several upskilling initiatives designed to meet the industry demand for specialised digital talent.

“Women looking to succeed in the competitive tech industry need to have a knowledge of the most advanced tools and solutions, and upskilling initiatives are crucial in helping them achieve their goals. Over the years, the WBP has supported women in the region to fulfil their career aspirations, and these workshops have further helped power a positive change,” said Nada Alqunaibit – CEO and Business Head, Women’s Business Park.

Designit wins 2021 Red Dot Award in Brand & Communication Design

Designit, a Wipro company, and a leading global experience innovation firm, today announced that it has won the Red Dot: Brands and Communications Design 2021 award for its interactive visitor centre for Digital Hub Denmark

The Red Dot Award, an international design competition founded in 1955, recognises the highest quality work in brand design, communication design, and product design. A jury of 24 renowned academics and design leaders select a fraction of all entries distinguished by their embodiment of the guiding principle, ’In search of good design and creativity.

Digital Hub Denmark, a non-profit organisation connecting international tech talent, start-ups, investors, and delegations in Denmark, needed a dedicated space for an interactive showroom, theatre, lounge, and co-working space. Recognized for combining sustainable design and architecture, Designit reimagined an old sugar factory into an inviting and interactive visitor centre that showcases Denmark’s best and latest digital innovations.

Centred around the theme of Re-interpreting Nordic Tech, the 1.400 square meter loft expresses Nordic values – through historic architecture, natural wood, and craftsmanship – while retaining a modern touch, with features like brushed steel, mirror effects, and accent colours.

TCS Named in the Now Tech Report for Cybersecurity Consulting Services in Asia-Pacific

STL appoints former Ericsson Executive Paolo Colella to its Advisory Council

HCL Technologies, HANCOM Inc. Announce Strategic Partnership to Advance Technology Solutions

Gravita starts Aluminium recycling plant in Mozambique 

Gravita, a leading “Recycling Company” having its manufacturing presence around the globe, is glad to inform that a step down subsidiary of the company situated in Mozambique, East Africa has started commercial production of Aluminium from its new recycling plant having an annual capacity of around 4,000 MTPA in addition to its existing Lead recycling facility of 4,500 MTPA and is also in process of setting up of a new plastic recycling unit in Mozambique. The Company is expecting an additional revenue of approx. Rs. 50 Crores per annum coupled with gross margins of ~ 18% from this Aluminium Recycling Plant. 

The Group has made investment of approx. 2 Crores for procuring and commissioning of this New Recycling Plant which is invested from internal accruals of the company. The said plant has been set up on a leased premises keeping in view of judicious use of capital & lean capex policy of Gravita. 

The Company will be procuring domestic aluminium scrap for the purpose of production from this plant and it will cater the needs of Aluminium die casting components manufacturing industries of Auto & FMCG sector located in South and East Asian markets. 

Gravita Group is among well-known recycling companies across the globe and capacity expansion of this plant will help company to change its sales mix by increasing the ratio of Aluminium business.
